ATL- GRAMMY SoundCheck with Raheem DeVaughn

The Recording Academy Atlanta Chapter and the GRAMMY Foundation hosted a GRAMMY SoundCheck with Raheem DeVaughn for 7 lucky GRAMMY University Network members at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

Raheem DeVaughn was one-fourth of the amazing line-up on the Budweiser Superfest tour in Atlanta this past week. The afternoon started with an interview conducted by Digital College Network (DCN) with Raheem DeVaughn while GU Members anxiously watched.  

Following the interview, the students were privy to an intimate question and answer session moderated by KISS 104 FM’s Eugene Brooks.  DeVaughn gave insightful as well as entertaining answers from both the moderator and the GRAMMY U students regarding his industry journey. DeVaughn was happy to share his personal thoughts when he received is first GRAMMY nomination, and of inspiration when writing songs. He spoke about his most recent album, but also his journey when writing songs on his previous albums. He also spoke about his favorite collaborations, and his political views within his music.
