Georgia declares Music Day

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter and rocker JOHNNYCOLT was among the group of several musicians to go to the Georgia state capitol on Tuesday to receive a resolution declaring Jan. 24 as Georgia Music Day. Musicians from the Rolling Stones, Sugarland, Third Day and more were there on behalf of the Georgia music community. 'The goal of Music Day is formally recognize the impact the music community has on Georgia business and culture – also the music community is working to get musicians the same tax breaks as the film business receives in Georgia,' he said.
