On Sunday, November 6, the Philadelphia Chapter and the P&E Wing presented A Conversation With Producers: A Philadelphia Chapter Pitchathon Event at the World Café Live. The event featured a pool of 10 finalists who received live critiques from a panel of well-regarded producers, with seats filled by Ivan Barias, Kyle “Slick” Johnson, Steve McKie and Phil Nicolo who  offered insight and detailed feedback for each track regarding anything from compression to transitions.

Once scorecards were tallied, Geron Hoy’s song, “Lady Crow,” stood out from the pack, winning him a prize package including recording time at Turtle Studios, a replication package from Discmakers, a consultation with attorney Lori Landew and a special feature on the Philadelphia Chapter GRAMMY365.com page. Following the critique, attendees enjoyed networking, food and drinks. Thanks to Philadelphia Chapter President David Ivory, Chapter P&E Wing Chair Mike Tarsia, World Café Live, Turtle Studios, Discmakers, and Lori Landew for their help in creating a memorable event.
