The Decibel Festival in Seattle!

Since it’s inception in 2003 the Decibel Festival has brought some of the hugest names in electronic music to Seattle, a town know best for its grunge and indie scene, and this year is no exception.  Founded by influential Seattle DJ Nordic Soul the festival has consistently brought artist from every subgenre of electronic music and art to Seattle for an amazingly diverse festival.  This year hits all the points with showcases from influential labels such as Hotflush and performances from huge names such as Modeselektor and Carl Craig.  The festival takes place from September 23 – 26 in many venues including Motor, The Baltic Room, Neumos, and the Nordstrom Recital Hall.  Tickets can be purchased for individual shows or a festival pass running at $155 will get you into everything.  Expect to be overwhelmed by the insane number of genres included in this years festival, from the stark futuredub of Mount Kimbie and Untold, to the ethereal ambience of Fennesz and Oneohtrix Point Never, and over to the disco sampling of Trus’me and the classic house sounds of Carl Craig and Theo Parrish this festival will not disappoint.  Head over to the Decibel Fest page for more information and to see the full list of 80+ artists!
