Florida - GRAMMY SoundChecks with Luis Fonsi

On Aug. 22 the Florida Chapter, along with the GRAMMY Foundation, hosted a GRAMMY SoundChecks with Universal Music Group recording artist Luis Fonsi, who provided a group of GRAMMY U members special access to his sound check, including a performance with his dancers, at the James L. Knight center. Following the performance, students were taken to a private room where they had the chance to discuss the music business with Fonsi. Students were interested in hearing his opinions on various music genres and his preferences on venue size. They also asked about his career path and whether he was thinking about releasing an album in English or continuing to only record in Spanish. When the Q&A session concluded, all gathered to take a group picture. Students we thrilled to also have the opportunity to individually take pictures with Fonsi and were very appreciative of his down to earth vibe.
