Metadata Mania!!! Content Creator Data Preview

Metadata Mania—August CCD previews! Archiving and data management specialists BMS/Chase and the Producers & Engineers Wing held screenings of  the long awaited Content Creator Data application at Recording Academy Chapter offices in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. Representatives from labels, performing rights organizations, producers, engineers, educators, and other interested parties turned out in each city for a presentation and some hands on laptop time with the application. Although the app is still alpha testing, these preliminary presentations helped get the word out and focus attention on the issues related to proper documentation—during the recording process—of technical, descriptive, performer, and personnel information.
