Congratulations! This was a phrase heard throughout the night at our Nashville Chapter GRAMMY Nominee Party held on Jan. 17 at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.  We were delighted to welcome guests to this intimate occasion recognizing the 54th GRAMMY Awards nominees.

As the evening began, over 300 nominees, Chapter Board members and sponsors gathered for a warm welcome from Susan Stewart, The Recording Academy South Regional Director; Daniel Hill, Nashville Chapter President and George J. Flanigen IV, Recording Academy Chair of the Board of Trustees.  Also in attendance was legendary artist George Jones who received on-stage recognition as a 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.  Jones will be acknowledged at this year’s Special Merit Awards Ceremony and Nominees Reception during GRAMMY Week.

The local GRAMMY Nominee Party provides one of the first opportunities for nominees to receive pre-GRAMMY press with over 21 media outlets.  Some of the nominees in attendance included Kenny Chesney, Deana Carter, Matraca Berg, Jason Aldean, Keb Mo, Jerry Douglas, Steven Curtis Chapman, Brandon Heath, Dave Barnes, Royal Tailor, TobyMac, Jim Collins, David Lee Murphy, Gary Paczosa, Jamie Grace, Natalie Grant, Peter Cooper, Eric Brace, The Del McCoury Band, members of the Alias Chamber Ensemble, Neal Cappellino, Dennis Scott, Bryan Cumming, Nathan Burbank, David Toledo, Monty Criswell and Christopher Stevens.
