LeAnn Rimes, the youngest recipient of a GRAMMY Award, and first country recording artist to win in the “Best New Artist” category, spent an intimate evening with members and guests of The Recording Academy New York Chapter.  LeAnn, joined by guitarist and vocalist Greg Hagan, performed three songs from her forthcoming album, “Lady & Gentlemen,” and spoke of the creative process she went through with producers Vince Gill and Darrell Brown.  On this CD, she reinterprets classic country songs by men, including the GRAMMY nominated song “Swingin” and the original song and current single “Give.” LeAnn also invited the audience to listen to a few of the tracks from the CD and provided insightful information during the Q&A portion of the evening. She discussed her ‘live’ vs. ‘studio’ experiences and shared that she’s only had two singing lessons in her life, mainly to teach her how to preserve her voice.  After the event, LeAnn graciously mingled with the crowd allowing for many photo opportunities and one-on-one time.
