New York - GRAMMY Camp SoundChecks with Christina Perri

On Aug.2, twelve high school students had the chance to hang out with Philadelphia native, Christina Perri. Perri shot to stardom after performing her mega-hit “Jar of Hearts” on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance”.  From that moment on, her career has been a whirlwind.  Her hit “Jar of Hearts”  sold 1 million downloads and  landed her a deal with Atlantic Records. While touring and out greeting her fans, Christina joined the New York Chapter and The GRAMMY Foundation for a GRAMMY Camp SoundChecks at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. She performed “Jar of Hearts” as well as her follow up single “Arms”, to the smiling faces of the students while on their summer break.  Following her soundcheck, she jumped right in, answered questions and shared stories about her road to success, and how she still can’t believe her lucky stars. Just having wrapped her tour for her debut album lovestrong, stay tuned for what she has in the works.
