Philadelphia - The Recording Academy Philadelphia Chapter Open House Celebration

On Dec. 14th, members, Chapter staff, and Board members gathered at the Philadelphia Chapter office for an Open House to celebrate the holiday season. Although one of the coldest nights so far this year, over 70 guests warmed up the room, networking, re-connecting and listening to live music. Performers for the evening included Jeff “Blondy” Von Stenz, David Colon, Kevin Anderson, Tyler Bellinger and Jeff Melo. The acoustic set allowed for great ambience over the mill of conversation. President, David Ivory announced the Chapter’s 53rd GRAMMY Award nominees that were present that evening including Ivan Barias, Curt Chambers, Steve Pullara, Jim Cravero, Paula Lizzi, Kevin Mackie, and Eric Roberson. Lifetime Recording Academy member Peter Nero of the Philly Pops, also came to chat during the course of the evening. Members and their guests enjoyed light fare and wine. GRAMMY U members came to partake in the holiday festivities as well, mingling with many of the best and brightest in the business. Attendees expressed great excitement about being able to come together once again during the holiday time and their anticipation for the upcoming Awards show.
