ATLANTA -- 32nd Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Show on September 11, 2010 in its new location – the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre – the premier performing arts venue located in North Atlanta. The event marks the third decade that the non-profit organization has recognized Georgia’s accomplished artists and musicians for outstanding achievements. The evening will be ushered in by returning emcee,
WSB’s Monica Pearson and the welcomed addition, dave FM’s Mara Davis.
This year’s honorees are as follows:Performer- Multi-GRAMMY® winning R&B Soulstress, India.Arie; Group- Multi Platinum Rock and Roll Band, The Black Crowes; Non-Performer- Industry leader in Artist Management, Charlie Brusco; Classical- outstanding American mezzo-soprano and GRAMMY® winner, Jennifer Larmore; Pioneer- Virtuoso Classical Pianist, Charles Wadsworth; Posthumous - Singer/Songwriter, Paul Davis;Steel Guitarist,Pete Drake; Gospel/folksinger, Rev. Pearly Brown; Songwriter, John Jarrard.
The evening will includeLIVE PERFORMANCES byThe Black Crowes, India.Arie, Jennifer Larmore, this year’s Horizon Award recipient, Tyna Q, legendary rock band, STYX with an All Star Band consisting of Bo Bice, Michael Cartellone,
