SAN ANTONIO - GRAMMY U: MEET & GREET WITH FLYLEAF

On October 26, GRAMMY U students attended the GRAMMY U: Meet & Greet with Flyleaf event in San Antonio Texas at the AT&T Center. The event was held just a few hours prior to the Unite and Fight Tour concert which featured Story of the Year as the opening act for Flyleaf. Upon entering the venue, students walked down maze like corridors getting a behind the scenes look of what goes on before a concert event. After a few minutes, the students were introduced to Flyleaf’s tour manager who was more than happy to have us there. The tour manager gave us a quick overview of what the Meet & Greet would be like and soon the students were allowed to enter the room where Flyleaf was waiting. Upon entering, all of the members of Flyleaf shook each student’s hand and everyone was able to introduce themselves individually. The Meet & Greet started off with a short Q & A session where students were able to ask Flyleaf’s band members individual questions. Some of the questions included:  “what is something that you know now that you wished you had known when you first started in the music industry?”, “what is your musical background?”, and “how did you come across your fellow band members?” Flyleaf’s band members answered these questions and many others while sharing their own life experiences prior to becoming the band Flyleaf. They also shared some of their beliefs, experiences, and choices that they had made while part of the music industry.  Everyone felt inspired by their words and advice. Upon leaving, the students talked about how they were overjoyed in being able to personally meet and talk with Flyleaf and soon talked about their own plans and futures that dealt with the music industry. Some of the students even decided to purchase tickets to see the concert afterwards. Big thanks to Flyleaf and their management for making this event possible.
