On Oct. 17, 2012, the San Francisco Chapter held the annual GRAMMY U Fall Kick Off at Brick and Mortar Music Hall in San Francisco. GRAMMY U members from the Bay Area and Northern California gathered to network with fellow members and the San Francisco Chapter Board of Governors and enjoy live performances by Bay Area based group Mad Noise and Global Electronica artist, Jef Stott.

The event kicked-off with a 30-minute set by local buskers, Mad Noise. GRAMMY U Rep Jason Boule and SF Chapter Executive Director Michael Winger welcomed the guests with an entertaining speech on the power of connections in the music industry as well as the benefits of GRAMMY U. The two discussed exclusive internship  and volunteer opportunities and highlighted upcoming events and workshops, including an exclusive songwriting workshop with Brandi Carlile. Bay Area Producer/DJ Jef Stott closed out the night with a 45 minute set featuring his unique blend of electronic world music and live percussion.

A big thank you to the San Francisco Chapter Board of Governors and Brick and Mortar Music Hall, for making this unforgettable event possible.
