On Thursday November 11, The GRAMMY Foundation and BET’s Centric Network hosted a GRAMMY Career Day panel for the students of Mays High School. The accomplished and inspirational group of panel members consisted of senior vice president of BET Networks, Depelsha McGruder, entertainment attorney, Donald Woodard, music industry veteran, Shanti Das, and hip-hop artist and entrepreneur, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. The program was moderated by V-103 personality, Ramona Debreaux, and provided a wide variety of career advice from different aspects of the entertainment industry. The discussion went into detail about the broad range of opportunities available in the business as well as how to navigate one’s way through one of the most difficult industries to break into. Networking and professionalism were key topics of discussion. The gracious and aspiring students were able to connect and exchange information with panelists at the end of the program.
