Texas GRAMMY U will host a GRAMMY U: Speakers Series with Heather Wagner Reed, the president and founder of Juice Consulting, to learn about her experiences in the music business.
ABOUT HEATHER: Heather Wagner Reed is the President and Founder of Juice Consulting, an agency that offers high level strategy and services in PR, marketing, artist development, event planning and product management. Focusing on creative industries such as music and the visual arts, notable clients include Gloria Gaynor, Erykah Badu, Willie and the Wheel, Texas Tornados, The Houston Symphony, Red Bull, French Music Export Bureau, Texan-French Alliance for the Arts, Generation Texas, Texas Contemporary Art Fair, among many others.
From 2002 to 2007, Heather served as the Senior Product Manager for GRAMMY®-winning artist Beyoncé Knowles, handling her day-to-day management. Prior to that she served as International Exploitation Manager for Universal Music in The Netherlands (Mercury Records) and handled multiple global marketing campaigns while living in Europe from 1997 to 2002. Heather was also part of the start up team for Soundartist.com, serving as Marketing and PR Director.
Her career began in college radio at WUOG-FM in Athens, GA as a DJ, news anchor and promotions director, along with hands on work experience with companies such as Coca-Cola, The Olympic Games, and Disneyland Paris. Her first PR job was with Atlanta’s leading entertainment PR firm, The Headline Group. Heather is currently a seven year board member of the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy, having served as Secretary and Membership Committee Chair. She has served on the board of Grounded in Music for the past four years, acting as Vice President, and also served on the Official Host Committee of the 9th Annual Latin GRAMMY® awards. Heather is currently on the City of Austin’s Music Commission and is a Director of the Texas Lyceum, an organization for next generation of leadership in Texas.
