Chicago - GRAMMY U: Behind The Scenes At Lollapalooza

Each summer, Lollapalooza brings the world’s hottest acts to Chicago for three days of nonstop music.  Thousands of diehard fans invade Grant Park to hear their favorite bands perform from one of the festival’s eight stages.  Many have experienced Lollapalooza, but few are familiar with its true magnitude.

On August 5, GRAMMY U: Behind the Scenes at Lollapalooza will give members an exclusive chance to observe the inner workings of one of the world’s most massive concert events before it begins.  Led by the professionals who are responsible for Lollapalooza’s development and execution, participating students will be treated to an all-encompassing tour of the park’s grounds followed by Q&A sessions with those involved in the festival’s year-long planning phase.  As we discuss the various dimensions of Lollapalooza with its top promoters, audiovisual experts and various other crew members, GRAMMY U students will learn that preparation for the festival begins well in advance of the weekend’s first performances.
