Microphone Listening Lab – Live!
Presented by the Recording Academy Chicago Chapter and Shure Inc.
Groovemaster Studios
Thursday, October 14, 2010
5 - 7 p.m. OR 8 - 10 p.m.
A good recording starts with a good sound source, and no single element of the audio signal path is as important in capturing that source as the microphone. Join representatives from Shure Inc at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago for a hands-on listening lab where we will experiment with a broad range of studio recording microphones and learn, by example, which types of microphones work well on a variety of different sound sources. And, if you have a favorite microphone, feel free to bring it along and we will set it up against a comparable Shure model for blind A-B listening.
DUE TO OVERWHELMING RESPONSE, THIS EVENT HAS REACHED CAPACITY. PLEASE STAY TUNED TO GRAMMY365 FOR SIMILAR EVENTS IN THE FUTURE.
