GRAMMY U Studio Tours

The Atlanta Chapter, in partnership with Glenn Schick Mastering and Crossover Entertainment Group will offer a studio tour. Go behind the scenes with Glenn Schick and Billy Johnson.  

Schick is the owner and chief engineer of Glenn Schick Mastering, one of the country’s busiest mastering facilities. Schick has spent the last 30 years as a musician and audio engineer working from audio post at CNN to music documentaries for R.E.M. Self-taught, he has since left his mark as chief mastering engineer on thousands of album releases in the last eleven years. Included is who’s who of chart-topping hip hop/rap, rock, and a host of other genres, Schick’s clients have included Ludacris, Lil Jon, Elton John, Indigo Girls, Collective Soul, Matthew Sweet, Akon and Widespread Panic, to name a few.  
 
Johnson is the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer for Crossover Entertainment Group, Inc.  Johnson has managed Crossover’s rehearsal and production facility for 15+ years, hosting artists such as: STP, India.Arie, Edwin McCain, TLC, OutKast, Pink, Janet, Stevie Wonder, Indigo Girls, B52’s, Sevendust, and more.  Produced and coordinated television projects for Turner Productions, MTV, VH1, BBC and BET Network. Crossover’s recording projects include R.E.M’s Monster, Collective Souls’ Blender and Shawn Mullins’s Beneath the Velvet Sun.  Billy is a certified contract advisor for the NFLPA representing athletes in the NFL, AFL and Canadian Football league.
