Memphis - Unsung Heroes of New Orleans Studio Scene

The Memphis Chapter and the Producers and Engineers Wing present Unsung Heroes of New Orleans Studio Scene. This event is in conjunction with an exhibition that takes a sweeping look at the rich musical heritage of Louisiana, presented by T\the Ponderosa Stomp Foundation in partnership with the Louisiana State Museum.

The event will begin with a reception honoring these musical greats. Following the reception will be a panel discussion on the hey day of the New Orleans rock and roll and R&B studio scenes featuring Cosimo Matassa, Dave Bartholomew, Wardell Quezergue, Harold Battiste and Allen Toussaint. Dr. Ira Padnos, founder of the Ponderosa Stomp Foundation and Festival, will moderate the panel discussion.
