New York - MusiCares Presents: Women in Music in Recovery

September 21, 2010 - 10:30am - 12:00pm

In celebration of Recovery Month in September, and as outreach to the music community, MusiCares is presenting a very special program entitled Women in Music in Recovery.  Highlighted by the legendary folk singer Judy Collins, this event will consist of a panel of music industry women, including Cameron Eve, former lead singer of punk band, The Choke, who will discuss their personal experiences with addiction and recovery while negotiating the challenges of an industry rampant with substance use and abuse.  Professional expertise will also be provided by Anita Ronis, LMSW, CASAC and addictions consultant.

Capacity of the room is limited, so contact MusiCares at 212.245.7840 or toll-free at 877.303.6962 for more information and to RSVP.

Please join us for this important, timely and fascinating look at women, addiction and recovery in the music business.
