The Philadelphia Chapter, in partnership with the GRAMMY Foundation and GRAMMY U, hosted GRAMMY SoundChecks with Mumford & Sons on May 16 at Philadelphia’s historical Theather of the Living Arts on South Street. Mumford & Sons, UK’s rising folk stars, invited college and high school students to their soundcheck before their concert later that night, which incredibly sold out in just 5 minutes. Students gathered in front of the stage for a rare opportunity to witness the preparation that goes into a concert, including lighting setup, equipment placement, checking each instrument’s volume and audio quality, testing microphones for feedback, and much more.
