Forbes' Top Social TV Moments Of 2012
Forbes magazine has revealed its list of Social TV's Top 10 Moments for 2012 with the 54th GRAMMY telecast ranking No. 5 for drawing 13 million social media comments, marking the biggest social TV event in history at the time. Other moments making the list were the season finale of "American Idol" (No. 9), mobile music matching app Shazam's entrance into social TV (No. 8) and the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (No. 6).

Music Startups Top $600 Million In 2012
Investors contributed a total of $619.3 million to music startups for the year to date in 2012, a nearly 34 percent increase compared to 2011, according to a Digital Music News report. Cloud streaming service Sonos received the highest amount of investor funding among music startups in 2012 with $135 million, followed by online streaming services Deezer ($130 million) and Spotify ($100 million).

Christopher Lee's Heavy Metal Holiday
This year has shaped up to be a heavy one for Christopher Lee, actor of The Lord Of The Rings, Count Dracula and The Hobbit fame. In June the legendary actor, who had recently celebrated his 90th birthday, announced the release of his second heavy metal album, Charlemagne: The Omens Of Death, due in 2013. Now, Lee (aka Saruman) has gotten in the holiday spirit and released heavy metal singles of holiday staples "The Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night."
