GRAMMY.com Exclusive First Look: Jupiter Project
Auckland, New Zealand-based indie electronica duo premieres "Celebration" video only on GRAMMY.com
Auckland, New Zealand-based indie electronica duo Jupiter Project recently released their latest single, "Celebration." GRAMMY.com has your first look at the premiere of the video for the infectious party anthem.
"Our plan for the music video was to take our friends and viewers with us through America," said Jupiter Project's Marty Rich. "We've also included fun intimate moments of our trip in each city. It's almost like a video diary.
Jupiter Project is the moniker for the collaborative musical project between producer Rich and vocalist Correia, who met in college at an end-of-semester party. Sharing a common bond of music, the duo went into a recording studio in 2009 to try their hand at producing some tracks. The result was a refreshing mixture of indie rock, alternative, hip-hop, and electronica, a sound that has garnered the duo comparisons to the likes of N.E.R.D., Theophilus London and Phoenix.
In March Jupiter Project released the single "Catch Me," which was produced by Rebel Rock Entertainment's Finatik. In June the duo released the single "Hook Up Girl" featuring Jessie G. The video for "Celebration" was filmed in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, and New York during the duo's recent tour. Jupiter Project have live dates scheduled in Australia and New Zealand through December.
